I am getting a persistent Runtime Error from Dell DataSafe: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way". I have done the following without success:
uninstalled/reinstalled DataSafe numerous times;
ran registry cleaner;
downloaded all Windows XP updates (including SP3);
ran what I thought might be a fix (R172699); -reverted back to an earlier version of IE, & contacted Dell Support numerous times.
Dell's last recommendation was to reinstall the operating system. I consider this a pretty extreme action and time consuming. The program had been working fine with my last successful backup on November 30th. What can I do?
